EUNICE-A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 11:00 am Friday, March 13, 2009 at St. Bridget Catholic Church in Lawtell for Winnie Mae Richard Lavergne, 80, who passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at Acadian Medical Center in Eunice. Rite of Committal will follow in the St. Bridget Cemetery with Father Daniel Picard Celebrant.

Winnie will be remembered as one who enjoyed being with her family and friends, she is survived by her four sons, Calvin Lavergne and David Lavergne both of Eunice, Wilbert Lavergne of Prairieville, and Urice Lavergne of Gonzales; eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ulysses and Mathilda Johnson Richard, her husband, ONeal Lavergne; two sons, James Charles Lavergne and Nealen Lavergne.

The family request that visiting hours be observed on Thursday, March 12, 2009 at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice from 12 noon until 10:00 pm and again on Friday, March 13, 2009 from 8:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm Thursday evening.
