EUNICEIt is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of Wilson A. Courville announces his passing on Monday, November 5, 2012 surrounded by his loved ones. He was 94. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 2:00 pm on Thursday, November 08, 2012 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Eunice. Rite of Committal will follow in the Savoy Cemetery with Msgr Robert Romero Celebrant.
Wilson was a proud veteran of the United States Army serving from 1942 until 1946, participating in World War II. He was a member of the Purple Heart Club and the Carpenter Union Local 953 in Lake Charles, the VFW in Sulphur, and a Masonry member in Westlake. He will forever be cherished in the hearts of his loving family, including his brother, Percy Courville of Alexandria two grandchildren, Amy Chretien and husband, Anthony, and Wilson Jay Oquain, all of Sulphur eight great grandchildren three greatgreat grandchildren son inlaw, Alexion Oquain of Sulphur and numerous nephews and nieces whom he loved and cherished dearly.
He now rests in Heaven with his beloved wife, Maime Fontenot Courville daughter, Mary Anna Courville Oquain five brothers and six sisters.
At the request of the family visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Wednesday, November 7th from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm and again on Thursday, November 8th from 8:00 am until time of services. Deacon David Guillory will recite a Rosary at 6:00 pm Wednesday evening.
