EUNICEIt is with loving memory and great sorrow the family announces the death of their beloved mother, sister, aunt, and friend, Wilma Cormier on Friday, December 31, 2010 at the age of 84 years, from a brave and courageous battle with cancer, with her loving family at her side. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 11:00 am on Tuesday, January 04, 2011 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Mowata. Burial will follow in the St. Lawrence Cemetery with Father Joseph Sai Tran, SVD Celebrant.

Wilma was a homemaker and devoted her life to the care of her family. She was a very kind and loving woman and spending time with her family and friends brought a great deal of joy to her life. She was a member of the Ladies Altar Society at the St. Lawrence Catholic Church.

She leaves behind a loving and grateful family including her son, Burt Cormier of Eunice her daughter, Connie Cormier Diniz and husband, Paulo Steven of Baton Rouge a sister, Theodora Faulk of Rayne. Also mourning her loss are her nieces and nephews including special nieces Bonnie Ardoin and Carolyn Prevost and special great niece Debbie Ardoin as well as many friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Wilma now rests in Heaven with her beloved husband, Burton Cormier and her parents, Joseph and Adele Nabers Heinen.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Monday, January 3rd from 12 noon until 7:00 pm and again on Tuesday, January 4th from 8:30 until time of services. A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 pm Monday evening.

Pallbearers carrying Wilma to her eternal resting place will be Joe, Jerry, Harry, Dave and Michael Heinen and Greg Faulk.

The family of Wilma would like to thank the loving caretakers of Heart of Hospice for making the final journey peaceful.
