IOTAWillie Lanthier passed away November 03, 2009 at the age of 88 with his family at his side, at the Jennings American Legion Hospital. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, November 05, 2009 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Iota at 10:00 am. Rite of Committal will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery with Father Mikel Polson Celebrant.

Willie was a dedicated family man. He will be remembered by his family as loving, kind and filled with laughter. He was much loved by his two children, his son, Raymond Charles Lanthier and his wife, Doris of Iota; his daughter, Virginia Spears and her husband, John of Oberlin; his eight grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and twelve great great grandchildren. Also mourning his lost is his brother, Ivy Lanthier and his wife, Sue of Jennings.

Now he rests in heaven with his beloved wife, Allie Reed Lanthier; his parents, Jerisen and Onazie Miller Lanthier; son, Larry Dale Lanthier; brother, Dave Lanthier; and his sisters, Rita Latiolas, Hazel Miller and Melanie Spell.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Iota on Wednesday, November 04, 2009 from 3:00 pm until time of services. A Rosary will be recited at 6:30 pm Wednesday evening.
