EUNICE-A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated Monday, August 13, 2007 at 10:00 am at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Eunice for William G.Bill Reese, Jr., 88, who passed away on Friday, August 10, 2007 in New Orleans, La. Burial will follow at a later date in the St. Paul Cemetery in Eunice with the Msgr. Benefiel Officiating.
Having been retired for 20 years, Mr. Reese filled that time with traveling, camping, fishing and spending time with his family. Mr. Reese served in the United States Army Air Corps and was a veteran of World War II. He was a Flight Engineer as well as a Top Turret Gunner in a B-17 Flying Fortress taking part in 35 missions over Germany.
A Loving Husband, Father, Brother, and Grandfather, Mr. Reese is survivor by his wife, Arnette Tyson Reese of Eunice, three sons, E. Paige Sensenbrenner and wife, Madelaine of New Orleans, Robert B. Reese II and wife, Donna of Starkville, MS, William G. Reese, III and wife, Michelle of Louisville, KY; two daughters, Stephanie McLaughlin and husband, Tom of Hammond, Devonne Reese of Metairie; two sisters, Doris Stagg of Eunice, Hazel Pott of Ocean Springs, MS: thirteen grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; William Gasaway and Ruby McDowell Reese, Sr.; previous wife, Mildred Guillory; two brothers, James and Robert Reese; a sister, Francis Huckens.
The family request that visiting hours be observed at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Sunday, August 12, 2007 from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm and again on Monday, August 13, 2007 from 8:00 am until time of services with a Rosary to be recited at 3:30 pm Sunday afternoon.
