BASILE-It is with heavy hearts that the family of Weldon Joseph Guillory announces his passing on Monday, September 23, 2024, at the Christus Highland Medical Center in Shreveport at the age of 76. A Celebration of Life will be Celebrated at 10:00 am on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at the Ardoin’s Funeral Home Chapel in Basile. Rite of Committal will follow in the St. Augustine Mausoleum with Deacon Gary Gaudin officiating.
Weldon dedicated his career to the oilfield, but his family was always at the center of his world. His children and grandchildren brought him immense joy, and memories with them will be cherished forever. Weldon was a man of few words, yet his heart spoke volumes through his actions and deep love for those around him. An avid lover of the outdoors, Weldon had a passion for horses and enjoyed spending time riding. We can picture him now, riding off into the sunset alongside his son, a memory that brings comfort to his family during this difficult time.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 24 years, Frances Guillory of Blanchard, LA; his daughter, Nikki Ann Jagneaux and fiancé, Chuck McGrew of Rayne, LA; his siblings, Larry Guillory of Calhoun, LA, Shirley Guillory Morein of Lafayette, LA, Jeanie Guillory Guidry and husband, Ricky Guidry of Many, LA, and Kenneth Guillory and wife, Jennifer of Fort Necessity, LA; grandchildren, Thomas Thevis, Seth Guillory, Noah Jagneaux, and bonus grandchildren, Brice Bouillon, and Brittany Jenee Pitre; as well as extended family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Emmett and Allie Marcantel Guillory and his children, Gina Marie Guillory and Chad Joseph Guillory.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Basile on Tuesday, September 24th from 3:30 pm until 8:00 pm, and again on Wednesday, September 25th from 8:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be prayed at 6:00 pm on Tuesday by Deacon Gary Gaudin.
As we gather to celebrate Weldon’s life, we remember the love he shared. He will be missed dearly and will forever remain in our hearts. Family and friends may view this obituary and sign the guestbook at www.ardoinfuneralhomes.com
