Wayne Stephen Miller

BASILE-It is with profound sadness that the family of Wayne Stephen Miller announces his passing on December 28, 2024, at the Acadian Medical Center in Eunice, surrounded by his loving family. He was 73 years old. A private graveside service will be held at a later time.

 Wayne, lovingly known as Steve, was born on September 15, 1951, to Carmen and Mattie Langley Miller. He is survived by his devoted wife of forty years, JoAnn Lanier Miller of Basile; their four children, Scott Miller and his wife, Nikki of Basile, Troy Miller and his wife, Toni of Eunice, Kevin Hawkins and wife, Angie of Houston, TX, and Ashley Sonnier of Monroe; his brothers, Marc Miller of Reddell, Willie Miller of Alexandria, and Jeff Miller of Baton Rouge; as well as his cherished grandchildren, Nick, Alexis, and Madison Miller, Cain and Callie Miller, Hunter and Reid Sonnier, and Kaylea Hawkins. He also leaves behind two great-granddaughters, Dani and Andi Andrus, along with extended family and many friends.

 He is preceded in death by his beloved parents; his siblings, Carmen Miller, Jr., Mac Miller, Mary Miller, and Marie Miller; and granddaughter, Shelby Hawkins.
