BASILE-A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated Wednesday, November 28, 2007 at 10:00 am at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Basile for Violet Via A. Young, 94, who passed away on Monday, November 26, 2007 at Acadian Medical Center in Eunice. Rite of Committal will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Eunice with The Reverend Bill Rogolla Celebrant.

A Loving Mother, Sister, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, and Great-Great-Grandmother, Via is survived by her son, Otis J. Young of Elton; two daughters, Jewell Ortego and husband, Donald of Elton, Diana Williamson and husband, Bobby of Carlyss; three sisters, Deolla Deshotel of Eunice, Belle Huval of Eunice, Earline Cole of Lafayette; eleven grandchildren, twenty three great grandchildren and sixteen great-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Gus and Odelia Moreau Arnaud; her husband, Allie J. Young; two grandchildren, Rocky Dane Young, Cheryl Ann Ortego; one great-grandchild, Mason Blake Ortego.
The family request that visiting hours be observed at Ardoins Funeral Home in Basile on Tuesday, November 27 2007 from 3:00 pm until 10:00 pm and again on Wednesday, November 28, 2007 from 7:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 pm Tuesday evening.
