BASILE-It is with heavy hearts and great sadness the family of Viola M. Miller announces her passing on Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at Opelousas General Health System at the age of 50. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 10:00 am on Friday, October 30, 2009 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Basile. Rite of Committal will follow in the St. Augustine Cemetery with Father Brian Taylor Celebrant.

A loving mother, daughter, sister and friend Viola leaves behind a loving and grateful family including her parents, Lee and Annette Miller of Evangeline; her son, Mitchell Granger of Eunice; her four daughters, Jolene Miller of Basile, Hope Travis of Church Point, Teri Howell of Eunice and Chelsie Granger of Basile; her brother Darren Miller of Lake Charles and her sister Theresa Fuselier of Evangeline, as well as her eight grandchildren, Logan, Courtney, Lance, and Holby Hargrave, Trinity and Zoe Travis, and Micah and Heath Howell. She will be truly missed.

Now she rests in heaven with her beloved son, Michael Wayne Kelly; grandson, Tristen Michael Howell; a brother, Anthony Miller and a sister, Loretta Miller.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Basile on Thursday, October 29, 2009 from 10 am until time of services on Friday, October 30, 2009. Deacon Robby Leger will recite a Rosary at 7:30 pm Thursday evening.
