EUNICE-A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated Friday, September 28, 2007 at 2:00 pm at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Eunice for Mrs. Vernice Fontenot, 95, who passed away on September 26, 2007 at Acadian Medical Center in Eunice. Rite of Committal will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Eunice with The Reverend Fr. Tom Voorhies Celebrant.

A retired sales clerk at Millers Shoe Store and also a member of the Catholic Daughters for over 65 years, Mrs. Fontenot is survived by two sisters, Mavy Fontenot and Ruby Landreneau all of Mamou; several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Therlin Fontenot; son Larry James Fontenot; parents, Mayo and Sadia Fontenot Miller; brother, Wesley Miller; two sisters, Azana Landreneau, Hattie M. Fontenot.
The family request that visiting hours be observed at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Thursday September 27, 2007 from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm and again on Friday, September 28, 2007 from 8:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm Thursday evening.
