EUNICE-A Celebration of Life for Verna Lee Aguillard Labry, 81, will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, April 17, 2009 at Ardoins Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice. Burial will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Eunice with Pastor Tim Moffett officiating.

Verna Lee Aguillard Labry, a native of Basile and a resident of Fenton, passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2009 at the Acadian Medical Center in Eunice. She was a retired LPN and worked at Moosa Memorial Hospital in Eunice, Lake Charles Memorial and St. Patrick Hospitals in Lake Charles. She also did private duty nursing.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 62 years, Ruttland J. Labry of Fenton; two sons, Michael Jerry Labry and wife, Kathy of Benton and Daniel Rene Labry and wife, Bobbie of Winnsboro, TX; one brother, Rodgers Aguillard and wife, Claudette of Muncie, IN; three sisters, Lois A. Tyson and husband, Youree, Lottie A. Ledoux and husband, Harry Lee, and Mary Ann Sonnier, all of Eunice; three grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rene and Essie F. Aguillard; a brother, Roland D. Aguillard, and two sisters, Luzzie Lou Lejeune and Ethel A. Moreau.

The family request that visiting hours be observed on Thursday, April 16, 2009 at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and again on Friday, April 17, 2009 from 8:00 am until time of services.
