EUNICE Vera Jeraldine Jerry Goleman Salling age 74, of Opelousas, Louisiana passed away peacefully at her home on November 14, 2014 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Jerry was born in LeCompte, Louisiana to Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Goleman. She was one of five children and grew up in Eunice, La living many years of her life in Lake Charles and Natchitoches, LA. She was married to her loving husband, W. T. Ted Salling for 51 years. Jerry was a loving and devoted wife, mother, granny, and sister, always putting her loved ones before herself. She had the most generous heart and spirit, especially when it came to her children and grandchildren. She loved reading, laughing with friend, doing puzzles with her grandchildren and spending time with her family. She was a member of P.E.O Sorority in Natchitoches and she enjoyed knitting with the Busy Needles in Eunice, La.

Her spirit and love of life is carried on by her husband, W.T. Ted Salling, her three children Sabrina Salling of Opelousas, Bill Salling and wife, Kelly Horn Salling of Humble, TX, Stuart Salling and wife, Stephanie Bourque Salling of Opelousas her six grandchildren, Tyler Lofton, Josie Salling, Mason Salling, Kassie Salling, Katie Salling and Chase Salling her three surviving siblings, Theresa Goleman Hargroder and husband, John Derral Hargroder, Bebo Goleman Redlich, widow of Dwaine Redlich, and Eugene Okie Goleman and wife, Priscilla Bertrand Goleman and an extended family of relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her loving parents, Della Messer Goleman and Clarence Edgar Goleman, and her sister, Rita Goleman Fontenot.

Jerrys life will be celebrated on Saturday, November 15, 2014 from 2 pm to 7 pm and Sunday, November 16, 2014 from 10 am to 2 pm at Ardoins Funeral Home, 1301 W. Laurel, Eunice Louisiana. Funeral Service will be at 2:00 pm on Sunday, November 16, 2014 at Ardoins Funeral Home Chapel. Burial Service will immediately follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Hwy 190 West, Eunice.
