Velva Stanford

EUNICE~ It is with heavy hearts that the Velva Stanford family announces her passing on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at Harbor Hospice in Lake Charles at the age of 72. No services will be held at this time.

 Velva was born on November 14, 1952, in Eunice, La to the late Isaac and Julia Miller Deaville. She was a homemaker who dedicated herself to the love and care of her family, especially her foster children.

 Velva will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her especially her children, Joshua Stanford, Laurie Cifelli, and Heidi Cifelli; sister, Sylvia Adkins; ten grandchildren, Olivia Stanford, Brandon Cart, Allison Cart, Kurtlyn Fruge, Madison Morgan, J-lin Baillio, Karlee Baillio, Katee Baillio, Cody Peloquin, and Andrew Cifelli; six great grandchildren, Colton Fontenot, Elyse Poullard, Malik Poullard, Aria Poullard, Charlie Duplechain, and Masin Cameron; as well as extended family and friends.

 She is preceded in death by her daughter, Angel Emily Stanford; her parents; brothers, Robert Lee Earl Deaville, Isaac Deaville, Jr., and Henry Deaville; sisters, Mary Lou Jordan, Olida Trahan, Julia May Murphy, and Henrietta Thibodeaux.
