BASILE-A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 10:00 am Wednesday, February 21, 2007 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Basile, for Una Reed LaFleur, 82, who passed away at 10:35 pm on Sunday, February 18, 2007 at the Evangeline Extended Care Center in Mamou.

The Rev. Jules Speyrer, will be the Celebrant with the Rite of Committal to follow in the St. Augustine Cemetery in Basile.

Mrs. LaFleur was surrounded by her family, the Almighty God in his infinite Mercy Called Una LaFleur to her new home in Heaven freeing her from sickness and pain.

For many years, Mrs. Lafleur was employed with Eunice Nursing Home and Meals on Wheels. She loved having family over for big meals as well as having Christmas at her home. She also enjoyed the family coming over for big holiday meals even when she could on longer cook and clean.

Survived by her husband, Louis LaFleur of Basile; a son, Davis Reed and wife, Teresa of Richmond, Kentucky; a step-son Aubrey Reed and wife, Leona of Lake Charles; two daughters, Elda Pratt and husband, Herb of Lake Charles, Sue Bushnell and husband, Kenneth Papoose of Basile; a step-daughter, Effie Manuel and husband, Buddy of Elton; fourteen grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren, 12 step-grandchildren; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her parents, Philo and Mathilda Mott; daughters, Laura Deshotel and Rosetta Reed; brothers, Jimmy, Cleve, Eurick, Alos, Eford, Duford Mott and a sister Celize Leger.
The family request that visitation hours be observed from 11:00 am until 10:00 pm Tuesday, February 20, 2007 and again on Wednesday, February 21, 2007 8:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm Tuesday evening.
