EUNICE- With heavy hearts, the family of Theresa Jane Hebert Ardoin announces her peaceful passing on Monday, October 21, 2024, at the Oaklane Wellness and Rehabilitation Center in Eunice at the age of 91. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, October 24, 2024, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Eunice. Burial will follow in the Rougeau Cemetery with Father Hampton Davis officiating.
Born on December 26, 1932, in Mamou, Louisiana, to the late Cyprien and Delia Pierrotti Landreneau, Theresa lived a life full of warmth and kindness. She was known for her incredible skills in sewing and quilting, alongside her talent for baking, which brought joy to many. Theresa was deeply involved in her community through her membership in the Catholic Daughters and her role as a Eucharistic Minister at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Her faith was a guiding force in her life, enriching the lives of those around her. Professionally, she made her mark at 1st Bank, where she became the first original loan officer upon its opening in 1976. After dedicating twenty-five years of service, she retired, leaving behind a legacy of commitment and excellence.
Theresa was a loving and devoted mother, sister, and grandmother. Her legacy will continue through her loving children, Victor Hebert and wife, Cindy of Ville Platte, Kirk Hebert and wife, Nona of Eunice, and Phyllis McGee and husband, Dave of Duralde; her brother, Francis Landreneau and wife, Tonya of Eunice; her sisters, Elverta Fruge of Eunice, Cecile Fontenot of Eunice, and Margaret Aucoin and husband, Gilbert of Ville Platte; nine grandchildren, Meredith Disher and husband, Chad of Scott, Erika Carlson and husband, Michael of Rayne, Alisha Jarreau and husband, Jason of Baton Rouge, Amanda Hebert of Ville Platte, Ashley Ducote and husband, Chris of Ville Platte, Keri Miller and husband, Jody of Chataignier, Kate Frey and husband, Brett of St. Gabriel, Kindsey Ardoin and husband, Steven of Duralde, Caitlin Doughty and husband, Bryce of Connecticut; nineteen great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; as well as extended family and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Nason Hebert and Cliff Ardoin; son, Phillip Hebert; parents; and siblings, Roland, Raymond, L.C., James, and John Landreneau, Ruth Fontenot, and Mary Ellen Duplechain.
In honor of Theresa’s memory, a visitation will take place at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice on Thursday, October 24, 2024, from 9:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be prayed by Deacon Chuck Ortego at 12:00 pm on Thursday.
