EUNICE~Our mom, Theresa Aymond, in the comfort of her home with loving family and friends by her side passed away on the afternoon of Thursday, January 29, 2015. She was 87. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 1:00 pm on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Eunice. Entombment will follow in the St. Paul Mausoleum with Father Dustin Dought Celebrant.

Theresa was a faithful and devoted member of the Catholic Daughters and Ladies Altar Society for over 40 years, and a member of the Omega Group, Still Going Strong Group, and served over 30 years with the Nursing Home Volunteer Auxiliary Group. In addition to this, she was a Eucharistic Minister at St. Anthony and part of the Crusillo Movement. But most of all she was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Theresa leaves a wonderful legacy of love and care, especially for her loving family including her son, Mark Aymond and wife, Vicki of Iota; her four daughters, Tressella Aymond Melancon of Eunice, Jaslen Aymond Soileau and husband, Emery of Bayou Chicot, Becky Aymond Daigle and husband, Ray of Eunice, and Melisa Aymond Boaze and husband Mike of La Porte, TX; two sisters, Rena Lavergne Manuel of Eunice and Irene Lavergne of Lake Charles. She was a loving and wonderful grandmother to sixteen grandchildren, twenty two great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren as well as extended family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Harry Aymond; her parents, Christopher and Anna Cormier Lavergne; five brothers; seven sisters; one grandson, Bryan Scott Aymond; two great grandchildren, Raven Paul David Melancon and Gracie Claire Daigle.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Eunice on Friday, January 30th from 2:00 pm until 10:00 pm and again on Saturday, January 31st from 8:00 am until time of services. Deacon Gary Gaudin, Catholic Daughter, and Ladies Altar Society will recite a Rosary at 7:30 pm Friday evening.
