BASILE-A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated Friday, December 07, 2007 at 2:00 pm at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Basile for Thelma P. Fontenot, 94, who passed away on Sunday, December 02, 2007 at Eunice Extended Care Hospital. Rite of Committal will follow in the St. Augustine Mausoleum in Basile with Fr. Bill Rogalla Celebrant.

Mrs. Fontenot taught at Basile as an Elementary teacher, teaching grades first thru fourth for 30 years.

A Loving Mother, Sister, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother, Mrs. Fontenot is survived by her two sons, Zenon P. Pat Fontenot and his wife, Gwen Chaumont Fontenot, John G. Fontenot and wife, Linda Scardina Fontenot all of Eunice; a sister, Grace Pierotti Knighten of Eunice; seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Zenon Fontenot; her parents, Balthazar and Florence Gaty Pierotti; a sister, Audrey Pierotti Manuel
The family request that visiting hours be observed at Ardoins Funeral Home in Basile on Thursday, December 06, 2007 from 5:00 pm until 10:00 pm and again on Friday, December 07, 2007 from 10:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 pm Thursday evening.
