BASILEIt is with great sadness that the family of Thelma M. Bazinet announces her passing on Wednesday, January 06, 2010 at home surrounded by her loved ones. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Basile at 11:00 am on Friday, January 08, 2010. Rite of Committal will follow in the St. Augustine Cemetery with Father Brian Taylor Celebrant.

Thelma was a homemaker and devoted her life to the care of her family. She was a very kind and loving woman and spending time with her family and friends brought a great deal of joy to her life. She will be loving remembered by her five sons, Dale Fontenot of Lafayette, Mike Fontenot of Basile, Pat Fontenot and spouse of San Antonio, TX, Darrel Fontenot of Sulphur and Kent Fontenot and spouse of Baton Rouge her six daughters, Tressie Fontenot and spouse of New Orleans, Darlene Berger and spouse of Temple, TX, Agnes Ray of Mamou, Becky McCann of Lake Charles, Diana Broussard and spouse of Sulphur and Sue Fontenot of Mamou. Also mourning her loss is numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Now she rests in heaven with her husband, Paul Bazinet her parents, Andrus and Ada Miller Veronie her sons, Gary Fontenot and Tommy Boudreaux her daughter, Mona Menard her two sisters, Edna Chesley and Clarice Cart and her four brothers, A.B., L.E., Lawool and Morris Veronie.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Basile on Thursday, January 07, 2009 from 11:00 am until time of services. Deacon Robbie Leger will recite a Rosary at 7:00 pm Thursday evening.
