EUNICE-A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated Monday, August 13, 2007 at 4:00 pm at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Eunice for Terrance Terry L. McGee, 75, who passed away Saturday, August 11, 2007 at OLOL Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge. Rite of Committal will follow in the St. Paul Cemetery with The Reverend Fr. Tom Voorhies officiating.
Terry was a well known and sought after residential painter, jack-of-all-trades, an avid fisherman and a recipient of salesman of the year award. He also served in the United States Air Force and was a Veteran of the Korean Conflict.
A Loving Husband, Father, Brother, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather, Mr. McGee is survived by his wife, JoAnne Bradley McGee of Eunice; four sons, Shawn McGee and wife, Pamela, James C. McGee and wife, Kaye all of Ville Platte, David McGee of Jennings, Robert McGee of Baton Rouge; four daughters, Anne Miller and husband, Jude of Eunice, Frances Prather and husband, Kenneth, Eileen Young and husband, Joe all of Lafayette, Lisa Menard and husband, Lloyd of Eunice; two sisters, Pat Whitecotton; twenty four grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Winnie Fontenot McGee; a sister, Shirley Schambaugh; step-mother, Bertile McGee; daughters, Susan Dearing and Mary Beth Stelly.
The family request that visiting hours be observed at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Sunday, August 12, 2007 from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm and again on Monday from 8:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm Sunday evening with Deacon Chuck Ortego.
