IOTAIt is with the heaviest hearts and great sadness that the family of Steve Pousson announces his death on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at the age of 60. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Monday, July 15, 2013 at 2:00 pm at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Iota. Rite of Committal will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery with Father David Broussard and Father Jude Thierry Celebrant.

Steve adored his wife and family and enjoyed spending time with them. He was a supportive, giving, and loving husband, father, son, grandfather, brother, and friend and will be very deeply missed by his loving wife of 40 years, Dalphine Pousson of Iota, and his mother, Lorraine Pousson of Iota. He was a wonderful and loving daddy to three children, Carla P. LeMaire and Casey S. Pousson both of Iota and David K. Pousson of San Diego, CA along with four grandchildren, Alex and Ryan Pousson and Amy and Michael LeMaire. He also leaves behind four brothers, Arlen Michael Pousson and wife, Dolores, Randall Paul Pousson and wife, Nancy, Hal Raymond Pousson and wife, Charlotte and Patrick Leven Pousson and wife, Sharon all of Iota two sisters, Cheryl P. Stroupe and husband, Walter and Rita P. Hebert and husband, Harvey, Jr both of Iota and many loved nieces and nephews.

Steve was passionate about hunting and enjoyed the outdoors and was a welder for Slick Construction.

He now rests in Heaven with his beloved father, Joseph Leven Pousson his grandparents, Raymond and Lillian Cart Pousson and Paul and Marie Miller Christ.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Iota on Sunday, July 14th from 2:00 pm until 10:00 pm and again on Monday, July 15th from 8:00 am until time of services. Father David Broussard will recite a Rosary at 7:00 pm Sunday evening.
