EUNICE-A Celebration of Life will be Celebrated on Tuesday, March 10, 2009 at 1:00 pm at Ardoins Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice for Sterling Martin Richard, 76, who passed away Sunday, March 08, 2009 at the Eunice Extended Care Hospital. Rite of Committal will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Deacon David Guillory officiating.

Sterling a resident of Eunice was retired from Ashland Oil and Chemical as well as a retired electrian and plumber. He built and flew model airplanes.

A loving husband, father, brother, and friend, Sterling is survived by his wife, Jenny F. Richard of Eunice; his daughter, Robin Elizabeth Richard of Eunice; and his brother, Cecil Eugene Richard of Duralde.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Maria Doucet Richard and a brother, Samuel Comeaux.

The family request that visiting hours be observed on Monday, March 09, 2009 at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice from 3:30 pm until 9:00 pm and again on Tuesday from 10:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm Monday evening.
