EUNICE-A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 11:00am Thursday, February 19, 2009 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Eunice for Stephen J. Leger, 30, who passed away on Sunday, February 15, 2009 in Florida. Rite of Committal will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Father Cedric Sonnier Celebrant.

Stephen was a native of Eunice and had been a resident of Florida for the past several years. He graduated from the Louisiana School for Math, Science and the Arts in Natchitoches, La., then went on to Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, La. where he graduated in 2004, majoring in Marketing.

He leaves behind a legacy of family and friends who loved and will miss him. Stephen is survived by his parents, Randal and Susan Deaville Leger of Eunice; a brother, Jeffery Leger and his wife, Elisia of Lafayette; a sister, Jamie L. Leger of Eunice; his paternal grandparents, Harry Lee and Wilda Leger of Eunice; a special nephew and niece, Bricen and Harlie Leger, and his many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Horace Deaville and Irma Jean Sonnier.

The family request that visiting hours be observed on Wednesday, February 18, 2009 from 12:00 pm until 10:00 pm and again on Thursday, February 19, 2009 from 8:00 am until Services. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm Wednesday evening.
