EUNICEA wonderful husband, father, grandfather, greatgrandfather, and friend, Shelton J. Guillory will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Shelton died peacefully on Friday, May 13, 2011 at home surrounded by his loved ones. He was 72. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 10:30 am on Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Eunice. Rite of Committal will follow in the St. Thomas More Cemetery with Father Cedric Sonnier Celebrant.

Shelton known as Sparky to all who knew him serviced his country proudly in the United States Air force. He was a retired electrician in the oilfield as well as a member of the American Legion.

He will be lovingly missed by his wife of 48 years, Shirley Guillory of Eunice his two daughters, Melissa Guillory Sikes of Richard and Rhonda Guillory Cortez and husband, Lelan of Westlake. He was blessed with seven grandchildren, Blair Mercer,Sean, Joshua, and Amanda Daigle, Krystin, Michelle, and Jessie Cortez and further blessed with three great grandchildren, David Daigle, Kamson Mercer, and Isabelle Meaux.

Shelton now rests in Heaven with his beloved parents, Charley and Katherine Manuel Guillory his brother, Thomas Guillory and his four sisters, Nettie R.Boone, Marie Heinen, Amenthe Amiot, and Faye Matthews.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Monday, May 16th from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm and again on Tuesday, May 17th from 8:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm Monday evening.
