EUNICE It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Sharon Kay Elter Veillon, 67, announces her passing on Monday, June 25, 2012 at Matthew Memorial Healthcare Center in Alexandria. A celebration of life will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Thursday, June 28 at 11:00 AM. Rite of committal will follow in the Green Oak Cemetery in Chatagnier with Deacon Chuck Ortego celebrant.
A loving mother, sister, and grandmother, Sharon will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Rachael Lou Veillon Sebastien of Chatagnier, two brothers James Percy Elter of Washington and Gerald Daniel Elter and wife Theresa of Houston, Texas, her sister JoAnn Lavergne of Plaisance, two grandchildren Skyler Ray Sebastien and wife Christy and Stormy Gabrielle Sebastien, and her two special canine companions Baby Girl and Kissy.
She now rests in heaven with her husband Joseph Rufus Veillon, Sr., her parents Carl and Mildred Hargroder Elter, her son Joseph Rufus Veillon, Jr., her brother Carl Elter, Jr. and two sisters Edna Broussard and Bobbie David.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 27 from 10:00 AM until 9:00 PM and again on Thursday, June 28 from 8:00 AM until time of service. A rosary will be recited on Wednesday evening at 6:00 PM.
