Sammy Medlin

EUNICEIt is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Sammy Medlin on Monday, March 31, 2014 at Acadian Medical Center in Eunice at the age of 63. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Thursday, April 03, 2014 at Ardoins Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice. Interment will follow in the Ashford Cemetery with Deacon David Guillory officiating.
Sammy proudly served his country in the United States National Guard. He worked for Baker Hughes as a fluid engineer and loved NASCAR and cooking. His greatest joy in life was his family his loving wife, Ellen B. Medlin of Eunice his mother, Hilda Manuel of Eunice his four loving children, Sammy Tut Medlin and wife, Angie, Nikki May and husband, Eric, Amber Arnaud and husband, Benny all of Eunice, and Ashley Medlin and fianc, Dion Gaspard of Keithville and his brother, John Medlin of Prairie Rhonde. He was a loving and wonderful grandfather to eight grandchildren, Gabriel Young, Alex Thibodeaux, Dylan Medlin, Logan May, Conner Arnaud, Emma Medlin, Tanner Arnaud and Addison May as well as many loving nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.
He now rests in Heaven with his beloved father, Elvin Medlin brother, Mark Medlin and his grandparents, Hazel and Pete Medlin and Agnes and Windy Johnson.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Wednesday, April 2nd from 10:00 am until 10:00 pm and again on Thursday, April 3rd from 8:00 am until time of services. Deacon David Guillory will recite a Rosary at 6:00 pm Wednesday evening.
