EUNICE It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Ruth Miller Manuel announce her passing on Sunday, March 16, 2014 at Eunice Manor Nursing Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Eunice. Rite of Committal will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Father Dustin Dought as Celebrant.

Ruth was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America for 25 years and the Bulb and Blossom Garden Club. She loved flowers and gardening but most of all she was a loving mother to four children, three sons, Craig Manuel and wife, Jackie, Johnny Manuel and wife, Cheryl, and Dwayne Manuel and wife, Pat, all of Eunice daughter, Janet Manuel Prudhomme and husband, Floyd, Jr. Butch of Eunice. She was a loving and wonderful grandmother to ten grandchildren, Johnnie Ruth Naquin, Jessica Dischler, Frankie Podrat, Donovan Shane Manuel, Michael Manuel, Eric Manuel, Garrett Manuel, Alex Prudhomme, Lathan Prudhomme and Cole Prudhomme and nine great grandchildren, Logan Dischler, Peyton Naquin, Madison Naquin, Leigha Dischler, Grace Manuel, Colin Manuel, Reagan Victoria Manuel, Regan Olivia Manuel and Kyndal Manuel. She will forever be loved and missed by everyone whose hearts she touched.

She now rests in Heaven with her beloved husband, Johnny L. Manuel, parents, Alexon and Hazel Miller and brother, Donald Miller.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Monday, March 17th from 11 am until 10:00 pm and again on Tuesday, March 18th from 8:00 am until time of services. Deacon David Guillory will recite a rosary at 7:00 pm Monday evening. The Catholic Daughters of America will recite a rosary at 11:00 am Tuesday morning.
