EUNICE- A wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Ruby T. Fontenot passed away on Sunday, August 02, 2009 at the Acadian Medical Center in Eunice at the age of 82. A funeral will be held on Tuesday, August 4, 2009 at 11:30 am at Ardoins funeral Home Chapel. Rite of Committal will follow in the St. Paul Mausoleum with Father Austin Leger Celebrant.

Ruby will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 61 years, William E. Bill Fontenot of Eunice; a son, Michael Wayne Fontenot of Eunice; a sister, Barbara Ann T. Fontenot of Eunice; three grandchildren, Christina Renee Bergeron, Chanda Fontenot and Felicity Dupont; and seven great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Noah and Julia Andrepont Thibodeaux; a son, Gregory James Fontenot; and a brother, Carey Thibodeaux.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home on Monday, August 3, 2009 from 10:00 am until 10:00 pm and again on Tuesday, August 4, 2009 from 8:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm Monday evening.
