EUNICEIt is with heavy hearts that the we announce the loss of our loved one, Roland Fruge, on Sunday, November 10, 2013 at Acadian Medical Center in Eunice with loving family by his side. He was 73. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at Ardoins Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice. Interment will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Deacon Jim Cormier officiating.

Roland was a 1958 graduate of Basile High School. He worked with his father on the farm and later went to work for John Deere and he retired from Hollier Implement after 38 years. He loved the outdoors, gardening and spending time with his family and friends, but most of all he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend. Roland loved his wife of 53 years, Wedna Vidrine Fruge of Duralde his son, Keith Fruge and wife, Tammie and his daughter, Angela Fruge all of Eunice. He was a wonderful and loving grandfather to five grandchildren, Lacey F. Courville and husband, Kelly, Jerod Fruge, Hunter Reed, Christopher McBride and wife, Kristen and Kimley Triplett and four great grandchildren, Jace, Hayden and Lexi Courville and Addyson Fruge and a brother, Earline Fruge of Basile as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

He now rests in Heaven with his beloved son, Randy Fruge his parents, Louis and Zula Sonnier Fruge two brothers, Jimmy and Merlin Fruge.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Tuesday, November 12th from 10:00 am until 10:00 pm and again on Wednesday, November 13th from 8:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be recited at 6:30 pm Tuesday evening.
