BASILE-A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, August 6, 2007, at 10:00 am at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Basile for Rodney Ardoin, 66, who passed away Sunday, August 5, 2007 at Basile Care Center in Basile. Rite of Committal will follow in the St. Augustine Cemetery with the Reverend Bill Rogalla officiating.

A Loving Husband, Father, Brother and Grandfather Mr. Ardoin is survived by his loving wife, Bursia Ardoin of Basile; three sons, Pat Ardoin of Basile, Doug Ardoin of Duralde, and Lester Ardoin, and wife, Mary and their two children, Tarra and Landen of Woodlawn; one sister, Linda Fontenot of Eunice; and numerous nieces and nephews.

His parents, Abram and Bertile Ardoin; one sister, Lena Vasseur; and one daughter-in-law, Pam Ardoin, precede him in death.

An avid outdoorsman, Mr. Ardoin loved camping and hunting. He worked at the Basile Rice Dryer for 40 years and managed it for 12 years. He was also a member of the Lions Club for over 20 years.

The family request that visiting hours be observed at Ardoins Funeral Home of Basile on Monday, August 6, 2007, from 9:00 am until 10:00 pm and again on Tuesday, August 7,2007 from 8:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm Monday evening.
