Roddie Jacob Bellon

EUNICE-It is with heavy hearts that the family of Roddie Jacob Bellon announces his passing on Friday, March 28, 2025, at the age of 63. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at Ardoin’s Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice. Burial will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Deacon Gary Gaudin officiating.

Roddie was born on February 3, 1962, to the late Rodney and Linda Fruge Bellon. He was an outdoorsman who especially enjoyed hunting and was a dedicated sports fanatic. Roddie was also dedicated to his career. For thirty-seven years, he was a loyal employee with Ventura Foods where he left a lasting impact on his colleagues and friends.

Roddie will be missed by all who knew and loved him, especially his siblings, Dewey Bellon and wife, Tuwana, Mark Bellon and significant other, Kellie Miller, Michael Bellon and wife, Tammy, Louise Bellon Johnson and husband, Samual, all of Eunice, and Rachel Bellon of Mermentau. Roddie is also survived by his significant other of twelve years, Pamela Hanks of Eunice, and her children, Summar Hanks of Slidell, Skylar Fontenot and husband, Hunter of Church Point, and Andrew Fontenot of Slidell, and her grandchildren, Nadia Fontenot and Melanie Fontenot; as well as extended family and friends.

Roddie is preceded in death by his parents and infant sister, Mary Barbara Bellon.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice on Monday, March 31, 2025, from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm, and again on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, from 8:00 am until time of services. Deacon Gary Gaudin will pray a rosary at 6:30 pm on Monday.
