IOTAIt is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of Rod Miller, Sr. announces his sudden passing on Saturday, May 07, 2011 at the age of 50. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 10:00 am on Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Iota. Rite of Committal will follow in the Millerville Cemetery with Father Mikel Polson Celebrant.
Rod was a former roughneck and was currently working at Colemans Sausage Kitchen. He loved riding his motorcycle but his greatest joy was his family which includes his former wife, Patricia Sensat Miller of Eunice his three sons, Korey, Joey, and Mikey Miller all of Iota his two daughters, Kim Miller of Sulphur and Krissy Miller of Eunice his six brothers, Wilburt Miller of Sulphur, Leo Paul Miller, Jr., Gus Miller, and Willard Miller all of Iota, Russell Miller of Eunice, and Jesner Miller of Crowley his four sisters, Irene Henry of Iota, Edna Vickniar of New Orleans, Yvonne Leger of Sulphur and Mary Hilda Miller of Eunice and his seven grandchildren. Your memories and love are in our hearts forever and always.
Now he rests in Heaven with his beloved parents, Leo Paul and Beatrice Benoit Miller and his sister, Mary Deville Dietz.
At the request of the family visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Iota on Monday, May 9th from 2:00 pm until time of services on Tuesday, May 10th. A Rosary will be recited at 6:30 pm Monday evening.
