EUNICEIt is with regret that the family of Robert Bob Simmons announces his passing on Thursday, March 21, 2013 at Our Lady of Lourdes in Lafayette at the age of 74. A Celebration of Life will be Celebrated on Sunday, March 24, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Ardoins Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice. Interment will follow in the St. Thomas More Cemetery with Pastor Tim Moffett officiating.

Robert, better know as Bob served his country proudly in the United States Airforce. He was a truck driver and he enjoyed fishing, hunting, listening to music and he had a special love for his dog, Penny. But most of all he was a loving father, brother, grandfather and friend and will be sadly missed by his five children, Donna Thibodeaux and husband, Danny, Liz Bryan and husband, Rick and Douglas SImmons all of Eunice Diana Richard and husband, Neal of Lafayette and Dana Olivier and husband, Faron of Eunice his brother, Bill Simmons of Monroe and a sister, Bonnie Hendricks of Eunice. He was a wonderful grandfather to nine grandchildren and a great grandfather to nine great grandchildren.

He now rests in Heaven with his beloved wife, Nelda Andrus Simmons his parents, Henry and Marie Frost Simmons.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Saturday, March 23rd from 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm and again on Sunday, March 24th from 8:00 am until time of services.
