IOTAIt is with heavy hearts that the family of Rita Dietz Conner announces her passing on Tuesday, June 03, 2014 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loved ones at the age of 64. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Thursday, June 05, 2014 at St. John Lutheran Church in Iota. Burial will follow in the Maxie Cemetery with Pastor David Greene officiating.

A proud veteran, Rita served in the United States Army for four years. She loved the outdoors, fishing, and being a bee keeper as well as cooking for family gatherings, but most of all she was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend and will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved. Ritas memory will live on in all who loved her, especially her husband of 18 years, Tom Conner her son, Dennis Holy and wife, Chelle of Iota daughter, Dana Bouget and husband, Luke of Iota a stepson, Brian Conner of Lafayette three brothers, Marvin Dietz and wife, Lois of Eunice, Lee Dietz and wife, Brenda of Iota, Velton Deitz and wife, Gertie of Abbeville three sisters, Evelyn Sister Reagan and Mavis Dietz both of Iota, Doris Reagan and husband, Donald of Egan. She was blessed with three grandchildren, Taylor Darbonne, William Rose, and Mason Holy and one step grandchild, Paxton Conner. Also mourning her loss are nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.

She now rests in Heaven with her beloved son, Jason Holy her parents, Edward and Mabel Miller Dietz her brothers, Roland, Bruce, Freddie, Francis and Aubrey Dietz and a sister Ruth Richardson.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Iota on Wednesday, June 4th from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm and again on Thursday, June 5th from 8:00 am until time of services.
