EUNICEIt is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend, Rhen Fontenot on November 12, 2010 at home surrounded by her loved ones. She was 59. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 10:00 am on Monday, November 15, 2010 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Eunice with Entombment to follow in the St. Paul Mausoleum with Father Cedric Sonnier Celebrant.

Rhen was a homemaker and devoted her life to the care of her family. She was a very kind and loving woman and spending time with her family and friends brought a great deal of joy to her life. She leaves behind a loving and grateful family including her beloved husband, Terry HiPockets Fontenot, Sr. of Eunice her son, Terry Lil Pockets Fontenot, Jr. and wife, Susie of Eunice her daughter, Frances Kerrie Fontenot of Eunice her three brothers, Benard Burton Ashford and John Chadwick Ashford, Jr. both of Carencro and Jamie Paul Ashford of Plaquemine. She also is mourned by her five grandchildren of whom she was very proud of Trey and Trent Fontenot, Kaytlin and Hannah Davis and Logan Bergeron. Rhen will be loved and remembered in our hearts forever.

She now rests in Heaven with her beloved parents, Chad and Betty Robison Ashford brother, Scott Keith Ashford and a sister, Pamela Elizabeth Ashford.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Sunday, November 14th from 8:00 am until 10:00 pm and again on Monday, November, 15th from 7:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm Sunday evening by Deacon David Guillory.
