EUNICE-A Mass of Christian Burial for Remie A. Vidrine, 90, will be Celebrated Saturday, May 3, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anthonys Catholic Church in Eunice. Rite of Committal will follow in the St. Paul Mausoleum with Father Austin Leger officiating.

Mr. Vidrine, a resident of Lafayette, passed away on Tuesday, April 29, 2008 at Magnolia Estates in Lafayette, La. Mr. Vidrine loved working in his yard as well as growing vegetables in his garden. He also enjoyed listening and dancing to French music.

A loving father, brother and grandfather, he is survived by two sons, Alvin Vidrine and wife, Janice of Houston, TX and Philip Vidrine and wife, Shelley of Arlington, TX; one daughter, Beverly V. Mire and husband, Paul of Lafayette, LA; one brother, Jim Wilson Vidrine and wife, Helen of Weatherford, TX; one sister, Rose Comeaux and husband, Lear of Eunice, LA; eight grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Lucy Thibodeaux Vidrine; parents, Launey and Attile Caswell Vidrine; and two brothers, Leroy and Clanise Vidrine.

Family request that visiting hours be observed on Friday, May 2, 2008 from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and again on Saturday, May 3, 2008 from 8:00 a.m. until services. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Friday evening.
