BASILEIt is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of Raymond Klumpp announces his passing on Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at the Evangeline Extended Care in Mamou. He was 99. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 15, 2011 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Basile. Entombment will follow in the St. Augustine Mausoleum with Father Brian Taylor Celebrant.

Raymond was a resident of the North Tepetate area as well as a retired farmer. He was a beloved father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather, great great grandfather, and friend who will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He will be lovingly remembered by his son, Raymond Ray Klumpp and wife, Cassy of Tepetate his three daughters, Hilda Ortego and husband, John of Elton, Lilda Lampo and husband, Mike of Pearland, TX and Wilda Rose Fontenot and husband, Patrick of Tepetate his sister, Wedna LeJeune of Duralde. He was blessed with thirteen grandchildren, Cheryl Lynn Fuselier, Renee Kyle, John David Ortego, Raymond Carter Klumpp, Amber Claire Taylor, Kelly Elizabeth Renner, Michelle Norris, Michael Lampo, Jr., Ryan Blake LeJeune, Angelle Seeley, Kayla Renee Hebert, Kyle Ray Fontenot, and Benjamin P. Fontenot. He was further blessed with twenty nine great grandchildren, Brad Durio, Kaylyn Fruge, Trevor and Devon Kyle, Amanda and David Ortego, Brandon Taylor, Matthew and Samantha Klumpp, Cameron, Ashton, April, Angie, Shawn Seeley, Brittish Hebert, Bryson Fontenot, Brayden Hebert, Gabrial, Lillian, Shelby, and Caylee Fontenot, Alex Cradeur, Gavin and Harlie Rose Fontenot, Christopher and Colton Norris, Taylor Yeager, Emma and Abigail Lampo and four great great grandchildren, Ava and Mallori Fruge, A.J. Durio and Logan Trahan.

Raymond now rests in Heaven with his beloved wife, Mabel Klumpp his parents, Henry and Armantine Aguillard Klumpp six brothers, and three sisters.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Thursday, July 14th from noon until 10:00 pm and again on Friday, July 15th from 8:00 am until time of services. Deacon David Guillory will recite a Rosary at 7:00 pm Thursday evening.
