EUNICE-A loving father, son, brother, grandfather and friend, Ray G. Ponthier Miller passed away on Tuesday, September 01, 2009 at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital at the age of 57. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Friday, September 04, 2009 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Eunice at 1:30 pm. Rite of Committal will follow in the St. Paul Cemetery with Father Clint Trahan Celebrant.

Ray a resident of Sugartown, had a great love for the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and 4 wheeler riding but most of all the great love for his dog Knuck. He will be lovingly missed by his parents, Ethel and Richard Miller of Eunice; his son, Shane Kelly of Baton Rouge; his two brothers, Richard Miller, Jr. of Dallas, TX and Gregory Miller of Jennings; his sister, Melissa LeJeune of Iota; and the littlest joys of his life, his grandchildren Chris and Austin Fontenot.

Now he rests in heaven with his beloved son, Randy Fontenot and his father, Aloysuis Ponthier.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Thursday, September 03, 2009 from 9:00 am until 10:00 pm and again on Friday, September 04, 2009 from 8:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm Thursday evening.
