BASILEIt is with the heaviest hearts and great sadness that the family announces the passing of their beloved daughter, dear sister, aunt, and friend, Rachael Lee LeBleu on Friday, June 10, 2011 at the age of 29. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 10:00 am on Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Basile. Entombment will follow in the St. Augustine Mausoleum with Father Brian Taylor Celebrant.

Rachael was a graduate of Basile High School and McNeese State University where she received her Bachelor of Science and Masters Degree in psychology. She was a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and was employed as a Special Education Teacher at W.W. Stewart Elementary School in Basile where her mission and calling was teaching students with Autism. Rachael was known by many as a dance line and cheerleader sponsor as well as an assistant High School Track Coach but most recently as the Jr. High Track Coach.

She enjoyed life and her happiest times were spent creating memories with her family and friends which includes her parents, Brent and Norma LeBleu of Basile her two sisters, Veronica LeBleu and husband, Jason Smith and Abby LeBleu all of Basile her grandmothers, Della Fontenot and Jeanne LeBleu both from Basile her nephew and niece, Dominic and Allie Smith as well as Aunts, Uncles and many friends. She was a special person and we will all miss her greatly.

Rachael is preceded in death by her beloved grandfathers, Abney Fontenot and Rogers LeBleu and her uncle, Michael LeBleu.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Basile on Tuesday, June 14th from 9:00 am until 10:00 pm and again on Wednesday, June 15th from 7:00 am until time of services. Father Brian Taylor will recite a Rosary at 7:00 pm Tuesday evening.

Serving as pallbearers will be her first cousins Lindsey and Robert Fontenot, Gary, Jr., Joseph, Steven and Ross LeBleu and Jacob Pousson.
