EUNICEPriscilla Pat Savoy, age 87, passed away on October 6, 2014 in Baton Rouge at the Clarity Crossover Hospice House. Born on August 18, 1927 to Simon Elvina Guillory Soileau, she lived most of her life in Eunice. Pat was a long time parishioner of St. Anthony Catholic Church and a loyal member of the Catholic Daughters of America. Upon moving to Baton Rouge, she became a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Zachary.

Following High School, Pat received a business degree in Lafayette and was initially employed by Texas Oil and Gas Company. She worked for TriParish Bank Trust Company for more than 35 years and was one of the first women officers in the banking business in Eunice. Her first job in banking was bookkeeping. Later Pat trained as a teller, loan officer, and personnel employee. Pat was elected as chairman of the southwest group of the National Association of Bank Women in 1977. In 1985, she was promoted to Vice President in charge of business development and public relations at the Tri Parish Bank in Eunice.

Pat was preceded in death by Herbert Savoy, her loving husband for 62 years. Also preceding her was Russell Savoy, her oldest son Pris Reed Savoy, his wife and Lauren Savoy Olinde, Pats granddaughter. Priscilla is survived by her youngest son, Michael W. Savoy, and his wife, Nancy Henchy Savoy. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren, Jennifer Savoie and her husband, Matthew Jacob Savoy and his wife, Leslie Ashley Savoy Andermann and her husband, Stefan Stacy Savoy Hoggatt and her husband, Jason and Brennen Savoy as well as 14 great grandchildren.

Pat is also survived by her sisters, Emily Langley and Elda Tarver. She was preceded in death by her parents, Simon Elvina Soileau and her three sisters, Jimmy Fontenot, Carrie Curtis, and Lana Soileau.

The family would like to thank the staff, nurses, and doctors at Clarity Hospice House and Sage Rehabilitation for their dedicated service and support. The family is especially grateful to Dr. B.J. Brooks, Pam Henry and Claudette Duncan for their tremendous love and care of Pat Savoy

Visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home, 1301 W. Laurel Ave. Hwy 190 Eunice, La. from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Thursday, October 9, 2014. Visitation will resume at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 310 W. Vine, Eunice, La. beginning at 8:00 am on Friday, October 10, 2014 with Services following at 9:00 am with Father Dustin Dought Celebrant. Burial to follow in the Port Hudson National Cemetery, 20978 Port Hickey Road, Zachary, La. 70791 at 1:00 pm on Friday, October 10, 2014. The Catholic Daughters of America will recite a rosary Thursday evening at 6:30 pm.
