BASILE-A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated Wednesday, October 03, 2007 at 3:30 pm at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Basile for Philip Bradley Fruge, 85, who passed away on Monday, October 01, 2007 at Acadian Medical Center in Eunice. Rite of Committal will follow in the St. Augustine Mausoleum with The Reverend Bill Regalla Celebrant.
Mr. Fruge had a loving companion, Edna Redlich. He was a Veteran of World War II having served in the United States Navy. A member of the American Legion in Basile and also the Knights of Columbus.
A Loving Father, Grandfather and Great-Grandfather, Mr. Fruge is survived by his two sons, Ray Fruge and wife, Kay of Caty, TX, Cecil Bradley Fruge and wife, Tina of Benton, LA; two daughters, Sandra Fruge Davie and husband, Taylor of Houston, TX, Alice Fruge LaFleur and husband, Patrick of Duralde; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Della Fontenot Fruge; parents, Augustine and Alice Reed Fruge.
The family request that visiting hours be observed at The Speyrer Center in Basile on Monday, October 2, 2007, from 5:00 pm until 10:00 pm and again on Wednesday, October 03, 2007 from 8:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be recited at 7:30 pm Tuesday evening.
