EUNICE-A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Thursday, March 06, 2008, at 10:30 am at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Eunice for Mr. Paul DeRosier, 94, who passed away in Lake Charles on Tuesday, March 04, 2008. Rite of Committal will follow in the St. Paul Cemetery with Father Edward Duhon Celebrant.

Paul was the proud owner and operator of DeRosier Hardware Store having served Eunice for nearly 25 years. Even though the store no longer exists, it is still a part of Eunice history and heritage.

Paul was a very loving and generous father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather and friend, who is survived by his two sons, John F. DeRosier and wife, Leigh of Lake Charles, Robert L. DeRosier and wife, Claudia of Albuquerque, New Mexico; three daughters, Dolores DeRosier of Spanaway, Washington, Helena D. Head, M. Elaine DeRosier both of Lake Charles; fourteen grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and fourteen great-great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Helen Louise Miller DeRosier; his parents, Francois Joseph and Edie Fontenot DeRosier; two sons, Paul Bernard DeRosier and Francois Joseph DeRosier.

The family request that visiting hours be observed at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Wednesday, March 5, 2008 from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm and again on Thursday, March 06, 2008, from 8:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm Wednesday evening.
