EUNICEIt is with the heaviest hearts and great sadness that the family of Otis J. Young announces his passing on Saturday, September 14, 2013 at his home surrounded by his loved ones at the age of 73. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 4:00 pm on Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Eunice. Rite of Committal will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Father Marshall Boulet Celebrant and Deacon Gary Gaudin CoCelebrant.

Otis was a prominent salesperson and businessman in the Texas and Louisiana area for many years. He was a wonderful and loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. His memory will live on in all who loved him, especially his loving wife of five years, Lorraine A. Young son, Daniel Christ of Houston, TX three daughters, Phyllis Young Dupre of Basile, Vicky Young Chatman and husband, Lester of Eunice, Liz Young Sonnier and husband, Jerry of Elton two step sons, Russell Langley and wife, Marty of Oberlin and William J. Langley of Elton two step daughters, Angie Faulk and husband, Jody of Elton and Julie Davis of Long Beach, MS two sisters, Jewell Ortego and husband, Donald of Elton and Diana Williamson and husband, Bobby of Carless mother in law, Marie Aylsworth of Elton ten grandchildren, Kaylin, Drake and Ava Christ, Colby Dupre and fianc, Brittany, Morgan Dupre, Telecia Ortego, Kristen LaPoint and husband, Aaron, Sadie Chatman, Kaine and Alaina Sonnier five great grandchildren eleven step grandchildren, Sarah, Andrew and Russ Langley, Hunter Langley, Zack, Marissa and Ross Langley, Dylan Gary, Lydia Faulk, Wade and Kali Davis and four step great grandchildren.

He now rests in Heaven with his beloved parents, Allie and Violet Arnaud Young son, Rocky Dane Young and father in law, Walter L. Aylsworth.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Monday, September 16th from 10:00 am until time of services. Father Marshall Boulet will recite a Rosary at 7 pm Monday evening.
