EUNICE~It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of Norris "Pop" Doucet announces his passing on Thursday, April 28, 2016 at Lafayette General Medical Center with his loving family by his side. He was 73. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Monday, May 02, 2016 at Ardoin's Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice. Burial will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Deacon David Guillory officiating.

Norris, better known as "Pop" loved camping and cooking out. He was a jack of all trades. Pop was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend, and will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him especially his loving wife of 52 yrs., Stella D. Doucet of Mamou; his three children, Mitch Doucet and wife, Sarah of Mamou, Annie D. Biessenberger and husband, Erich and Estelle Doucet David and fiancé, Brent Manuel all of Eunice; his brother, Newburn Doucet of Broussard; his sister, Ettaline Guidry of Eunice; his joys of his life his six grandchildren, Andre' Doucet and wife, Lainey , Slade Doucet, Blakelyn and MacKenzie Biessenberger, Travis David and wife, Kristen, and Lane David; his five great grandchildren, Baiya, Finley, Gates, Hattie Rose and Gemma; as well as extended family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Ann Richard Doucet.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Eunice on Sunday, May 1st from 11:00 am until 10:00 pm and again on Monday, May 2nd from 8:00 am until time of services. Deacon David Guillory will recite a Rosary at 6:00 pm Sunday evening.
