Norma Jean, known as Mac to all who knew her, was a retired Medical Technologist from Savoy Medical Center and Moosa Memorial Hospital. She was a passionate supporter of Louisianas cultural causes and was known by all for her joie de vivre. She was an avid sportswoman and was as comfortable holding a rifle and fishing pole as she was boiling a pot of crawfish. She loved Cajun music and had a gift for playing the washboard. She could often be coaxed into stepping onstage to play with the band for a song or two. Mac served for many years in the promotion of many local and regional endeavors. Some of the causes and organizations she served include St. Edmunds School, St. Landry Parish Farm Bureau, State of Louisiana Crawfish Advisory Committee, St. Landry Parish Cattlemens Womens Auxiliary, was an elected representative for the Farm Bureaus Aquaculture Commodity, Advisory Committee, LA Farm Services, Agency Board for the U.S. Department of Agriculture and LA State FSA Committee. But most of all she had a love for her family which includes her husband of 59 years, Robert H. Bobby Miller of Eunice and her five children, Robert H. Robby Miller, Jr. of Eunice, Jeanie Miller Robinson of West Monroe, Matt Miller and wife, Debbie of Eunice, Mary Miller Hebert and husband, Jeffery of Baton Rouge and Monica Miller Salopek and husband, Steve of Lafayette her two brothers, Vernon and Ronnie McManus both of Eunice. She was blessed with twelve grandchildren, Rob, Mark, Mitch, and April Miller, Rod and Ryan Robinson, Benjie and Andre Miller, Jeff Hebert, Stephen, Claire, and Sophie Salopek and further blessed with three great grandchildren, Syrus and Jackson Miller and Bricen Robinson. She will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her.

She now rests in Heaven with her beloved parents, Burleigh and Mary Hazel McGee McManus three brothers, Hilton, Ben, and Timothy McManus.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Monday, July 16th from noon until 10:00 pm and again on Tuesday, July 17th from 7:00 am until time of services. Beverly Mudd Miller will recite a Rosary at 7:00 pm Monday evening.

The family wishes to thank the ICU Staff of Lafayette General Medical Center, Acadian Medical Center, Dr. Brad Broussard, Dr. Randy Miller, and Dr. Jody Rosson for their kindness, compassion and wonderful care. Sincere thanks to Terry Sonnier, Lisa Young, Missy Breaux, and especially Katina Thibodeaux for their love and attention to Mrs. Norma Jean over the years.
