BASILEIt is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of Nellie Rose Richard Lantz announces her passing on Tuesday, August 26, 2014 surrounded by her loved ones. She was 77. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 1:00 pm on Saturday, August 30, 2014 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Basile.
Entombment will follow in the St. Augustine Mausoleum with Father David Hebert.

Nellie was a nurse all her life and loved helping people but most of all she was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend and will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her especially her husband, Lee Allen Lantz of Basile her son, Leonard R. Lantz and wife, Denise of Ohio two daughters, Darlene Lantz Richard and husband, Donald of Vancleave, MS and Jeanene Lantz Populis of Slidelle, LA brother, Roland Richard and wife, Chole of Palmetto a sister, Mary Jane Cordova and husband, Juan of Metairie. She was blessed with ten grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren as well as nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Sidney and Bernadette Leger Richard and several brothers and sisters.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Basile on Saturday, August 30th from 10:00 am until time of services.
