Murphy Gokey

BASILE~ On Wednesday, November 03, 2021, Murphy Allen Gokey, loving husband, father, brother and friend passed away at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital at the age of 62.  A Celebration of Allen’s life will be held on Monday, November 08, 2021, at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Basile from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm.

Allen was born in Frankfort, MI on February 01, 1959, to Bob Gokey and Ethel Molitor. He was a very laid- back man who liked to watch his favorite football team, the Raiders, watch the grass grow and listen to rock and roll with his favorite band, Kiss. But most of all he loved spending time with his family, and he will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him. Left to cherish his memory  is his wife, Donna Stanford of Basile; four children, Morgan Alexander Gokey and fiancé Dawn Streaker of Russellville, AK, Chad Lewis Douget of Ville Platte,  Courtney Blaire Gokey of Belleville, AK, Katy Nichole Bihm and husband, Jacob of Eunice; three brothers, Wesley Molitor of Basile, Robert Gokey of FL, and Chris Gokey of Al; two sisters, Cindy Spears and husband, Kenneth of Basile, Catina Hebert and husband, Dwayne of Basile; three grandchildren,  Kanon Douget of Mamou, Jesse Bihm and Ryder Bihm both of Eunice; as well as extended family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Brenda Thibodeaux.
