Mr. Ferrel Bertrand

BASILE-A wonderful father, grandfather, brother and friend, Ferrel Bob Bertrand will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Ferrel died peacefully on Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at the Basile Care Center surrounded by his loved ones. He was 58. A Memorial service will be held on Monday, November 02, 2009 at 4:00 pm at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Basile with Father Brian Taylor officiating.

Ferrels wishes were to donate his body to science to further improve medical research. He was a Veteran in the United States Marine Corp from 1969 to 1971 and the Air Force from 1972 to 1976. The things that brought Ferrel the most joy in his life were being with his family and friends. Ferrel was a Math Teacher from Basile High School where he taught for over 18 years and everyone knew him as Mr. B.

Ferrel leaves behind a loving and grateful family including his sons, Mark Bertrand of Mamou, and Sam Bertrand and his wife, Erica of Church Point; his daughter, Elizabeth Wyble and her husband, Joey of Arnaudville as well as the littlest joys of his life his seven grandchildren, Paige, Devin, and Carson Wyble, Brennan and Katiee Bertrand, and Logan and Emily Bertrand. Also mourning his loss is his sister Rose Burgess.

Now he rests in heaven with his beloved parents, Mark and Nola Bertrand.

Service
