EUNICEIt is with loving memory and great sorrow the family announces the death of Michelle Prescott Johnson on December 28, 2010 at her residence at the age of 59 with her loving family at her side. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, December 30, 2010 at Ardoins Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice. Interment will follow in the Mt. Calvary cemetery with Pastor Woody Gunnels officiating.

Michelle was a graduate of Opelousas High School, Columbus State University and Loyola University in New Orleans. She worked 27 years as a register nurse for Opelousas General Hospital. Michelles family and friends were most important to her and brought her great joy, especially her grandchildren. She will be missed by her husband, Steven Johnson of Eunice her daughter, Christine Misty Chaney and husband, Kevin of Houston, TX her siblings, Suzanne Prescott Soileau and husband, Jesse of Opelousas and Kenneth Prescott and wife, Julie of Baton Rouge. She was the cherished grandmother of Catherine, Grace, and Vivian Chaney and sadly missed by nieces and nephews.

She now rests in Heaven with her beloved parents, John and Edith Broussard Prescott and her sister, Sandra Prescott.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Wednesday, December 29th from 6:00 pm until 10:00 pm and again on Thursday, December 30th from 8:00 am until time of services.
