EUNICEA wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend, Michael Wayne Fontenot will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Michael passed away on Tuesday, January 05, 2010 at home surrounded by his loved ones. He was 59. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 2:00 pm on Thursday, January 07, 2009 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Eunice. Rite of Committal will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Father Austin Leger Celebrant.

Michael loved life and his family. He loved the outdoors, fishing and cooking for family gatherings. He also enjoyed his music and as well as playing his drums. There was always a place in your heart for him. Left behind to cherish his memories is his wife of 39 years Mary A. Bijo Fontenot of Butte La Rose formerly of Eunice his two daughters, Linda Breaux and her husband, Tony of Butte La Rose and Faye Ortego of Eunice his two brothers, Donald and Shane Fontenot all of Eunice. Also mourning his loss is his four grandchildren, April DeVillier, Makin Breaux, Jessica Rebold, and Brock Anthony Breaux and his ten great grandchildren.

Now he rests in heaven with his parents, Hosea and Estelle Johnson Fontenot and his sister, Priscilla LeJeune.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Wednesday, January 06, 2010 from 10:00 am until time of services on Thursday, January 07, 2010. Deacon David Guillory will recite a Rosary at 6:00 pm Wednesday evening.
