EUNICE It is with great sadness that the family of Mercedes Rider announces her passing on Thursday, September 30, 2010 at Allen Parish Hospital in Kinder at the age of 71. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 2:00 pm on Friday, October 01, 2010 at Ardoins Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice. Interment will follow in the Ashford Cemetery with Deacon David Guillory officiating.

Mercedes known as Nanny to all who knew her will be greatly missed by her brother, George Rider and wife, Melba of Eunice her sister, Tracy Jane Dodd and husband, Fredrick of Kinder and numerous nieces , nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.

She now rests in Heaven with her beloved parents, Howard and Delia Fruge Rider and her sister, Bonnie Heinen.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Friday, October 01, 2010 from noon until time of services. Deacon David Guillory will recite a Rosary at 1:00 pm on Friday afternoon.
